## Chapter 33: Cloud Peak Garden Secret Realm, Supreme Grade Milky Cloud Cow
June 18, 2014 Author: Gu Zhenren
Moon Frost King is Yun Baishen’s aunt. By blood, Chu Yun and the Yun family siblings are cousins.
Having spent a long time with Yun Baishen, Chu Yun discovered that he was actually straightforward and had a cold exterior but a warm heart. If he considered you a friend, he would always think of your needs.
Just like this time, he took the initiative to arrange things for Chu Yun and voluntarily vouched for him, allowing him to participate in the Yun family’s most confidential mission.
“Let’s go. Pack your things, and we’ll move together,” Yun Baishen said, gesturing.
“Where are we going?” Chu Yun asked in surprise.
“To the Yun family’s most confidential first secret realm, which is also a pocket dimension fully opened by an upper grade immortal pouch. We call it Cloud Peak Garden. The completion of the Second Spirit Light Pill is only one step away. If nothing unexpected happens, we’ll witness the birth of a supreme grade pill!” Yun Baishen couldn’t hide his excitement when he said this.
In Danzhou, people have an almost incomprehensible passion for pill refining, unlike other continents.
Chu Yun’s brow furrowed, “If I leave, who will refine pills for Moon Frost King?”
“Don’t worry. The emergence of the Second Spirit Light Pill is the greatest event in the Yun family’s thousands of years of history. The Yun family is pouring all its resources into it. Years ago, they secretly dispatched personnel and made secret arrangements. This matter is of great importance, and the Yun family’s King level experts will be present to protect the divine pill. My aunt is naturally no exception. You will still need to refine pills for her in Cloud Peak Garden,” Yun Baishen chuckled.
Chu Yun was overjoyed.
What a turn of events! His luck was truly excellent. Being in Cloud Peak Garden would undoubtedly bypass the restriction of the通行令牌 (passage token), allowing him to see his mother. It was a godsend.
Chu Yun wasn’t particularly interested in the Second Spirit Light Pill itself. However, if it meant he could see his mother, then this opportunity had to be seized.
“There’s nothing much to pack; all my belongings are in my immortal pouch. Let’s go now,” Chu Yun patted the immortal pouch at his waist, eager to enter the Cloud Peak Garden secret realm immediately.
“Is that an upper grade immortal pouch you have? No wonder the space is so vast; you can fit anything inside. You’re really lucky! Even King level experts might not have one,” Yun Baishen glanced at Chu Yun’s ultimate immortal pouch and then at his own middle grade immortal pouch, which was tied around his waist, saying with envy.
Chu Yun smiled, not wanting to dwell on the immortal pouch, and quickly changed the subject.
“Stop! Please present your identification token!”
“To pass through here, please answer a few questions first.”
“Please take this Truth Pill. Rest assured, its sole effect is to break all illusionary cultivation methods on a Monster Tamer.”
…The Cloud Peak Garden secret realm’s defenses were extremely strict. It seemed like there was a guard post every hundred steps or so. Although there weren’t many Monster Tamers on guard, they were all at least Hegemon level in cultivation. Their expressions were stern and their demeanor serious, missing no detail. The area they guarded was so secure that not even a fly could get through.
The deeper Chu Yun ventured into the secret realm, the more astonished he became.
He could sense that the Net of Law within this secret realm possessed innate detection abilities. These abilities were particularly effective against stealth cultivation methods, making it impossible for hidden individuals to remain unseen. Furthermore, the spatial laws within it could form solid spatial walls, blocking any spatial teleportation cultivation methods.
Coupled with the various detection methods, even Chu Yun himself wasn’t confident he could infiltrate this place without anyone noticing.
Fortunately, his background had been verified by an Oracle Immortal, proving to be completely clear and without suspicion.
His continuous refinement of two half-supreme grade pills for his mother had also become his credential, establishing him as a pill refining prodigy in the eyes of the entire Yun family.
However, Danzhou had a long history and had developed a unique culture. The Yun family was deeply rooted and possessed many methods to uncover Chu Yun’s true identity. But because these methods were too invasive and insulting, under Yun Baishen’s persistent objections, Chu Yun’s appearance had been difficult, and these methods were not used on him.
“The scenery is beautiful, isn’t it? This is the Yun family’s number one earthly paradise,” Yun Baishen looked around, a hint of pride in his voice, as he introduced the scenery to Chu Yun along the way.
This secret realm truly lived up to its name, Cloud Peak Garden.
Green trees, red flowers, blue skies, and white clouds.
Green mountains stood tall, and verdant valleys were lush.
Due to the special influence of the laws here, the air was thick with moisture, forming countless patches of mist. These mists swirled around them, some as large as round tables, others as small as marbles. They were of various strange shapes, making one feel as if they were in a celestial palace.
If one didn’t look at the damp green grass underfoot, this feeling would be particularly strong.
Chu Yun’s attention was mostly focused on the guard posts and checkpoints, so he didn’t pay much attention to the beautiful scenery. However, after Yun Baishen’s introduction, he quickly noticed the anomaly of these mists.
“Huh?” he exclaimed softly, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. He reached out and grabbed a mass of milky-white mist, examined it, and then brought it to his lips to taste. A hint of refreshing sweetness immediately spread through his body along his tongue.
Yun Baishen, walking ahead, noticed Chu Yun’s action and laughed heartily, “Haha, you’ve discovered it too. That’s right, this isn’t ordinary mist and vapor; it’s candy cloud. Above us, we raise over a hundred thousand Milky Cloud Cows. They drink the breeze yet produce candy clouds. Candy clouds are very nourishing for Monster Tamers of the Junjie and Adept levels. For us at this stage, it’s just for the taste; there are no substantial benefits.”
“Candy cloud is our Yun family’s specialty. Among the eight hidden aristocratic families, only our Yun family has it. Every year, the other seven families spend a huge fortune to purchase candy clouds from us. Candy clouds are of great help in cultivating the next generation of Monster Tamers. While Milky Cloud Cows are easy to raise, their numbers are extremely rare. Almost all the Milky Cloud Cows in Danzhou are here. Our Yun family has a monopoly on the trade of candy clouds,” Yun Baishen said with a hint of pride in his tone.
Chu Yun’s heart stirred, and he looked up at the sky, just in time to see a herd of Milky Cloud Cows lazily swinging their hooves as they flew overhead.
These cows were incredibly adorable, plump, and round. Their white fur was adorned with heart-shaped pink markings. Beneath their bellies, wisps of candy cloud formed from their milk, appearing like ethereal smoke, drifting away with the wind.
“These cows are really something. Easy to raise, don’t need much care. They drink wind, eat Vital Energy, and produce priceless candy clouds. How profitable! If possible, I’d like to raise a herd in my Immortal Pouch World,” Chu Yun thought.
Unfortunately, these Milky Cloud Cows were Supreme grade themselves. Although they had no offensive capabilities, they were scarce and exceptionally precious, being a specialty demonic beast of Danzhou. Even on the Xingzhou Token, only one or two were ever sold.
Listening to Yun Baishen’s introduction, the journey didn’t feel tedious, and soon Chu Yun arrived at his destination—White Jade City.
A city situated deep within the candy clouds.
It covered thousands of acres and was constructed entirely of white jade. With its magnificent buildings and swirling mists, it truly felt like stepping into a fairyland.
On the streets, besides Chu Yun and Yun Baishen, there was no one else, making it appear quite deserted.
However, Chu Yun sensed that while the exterior seemed lax, the interior was heavily guarded. After walking only a few dozen steps, he had already detected over thirty hidden sentries. Some of these sentries subtly exuded a Jun level or Marquis level spiritual pressure.
Deploying King level and Marquis level experts as hidden sentries to protect the Second Spirit Light Pill demonstrated the Yun family’s immense importance placed upon it and their meticulous planning.
“You two are here,” a figure emerged from the end of the street.
The figure moved through the mist and approached. Chu Yun immediately recognized him as an Alchemy Master from the research institute, a senior figure.
Following this old master, Chu Yun and Yun Baishen arrived at the central hall, where dozens of pill refining experts had already gathered.
Looking around, everyone present was at least an Alchemy Master. Seven of them stood out, exuding an imposing aura and extraordinary presence. Without a doubt, they were all Alchemy Grandmasters!
“Junior Yun Baishen (Yun Wuming) greets all senior pill refining masters,” Chu Yun and Yun Baishen exchanged a glance and spoke in unison, bowing to the assembled group.
“You are Yun Wuming?” an Alchemy Grandmaster asked, nodding slightly as he looked at Chu Yun.
Not only him, but almost everyone’s gaze turned towards Chu Yun. They had seen Yun Baishen before, but this was Chu Yun’s first time meeting them.
“Your discerning gaze is accurate, senior,” Chu Yun replied, maintaining his composure and not showing any panic.
Witnessing this, many masters couldn’t help but nod slightly, a flicker of admiration in their eyes. To be so steady at such a young age, not showing any stage fright—this young man was indeed remarkable.
The Alchemy Grandmaster who had spoken earlier then proceeded to ask Chu Yun a few questions. With these questions, his Grandmaster level skill was evident.
Some questions were tricky, some seemed easy at first glance but were difficult to answer, and some were outright traps.
Yun Baishen secretly held his breath for Chu Yun.
Chu Yun answered fluently, drawing the attention of the many masters and grandmasters in the hall.
“Not bad,” the questioning Alchemy Grandmaster commented calmly, then pointed out a few of Chu Yun’s mistakes, elaborating on them to touch upon the profound principles of pill refining.
Chu Yun listened attentively, nodding repeatedly. Finally, he clasped his hands in thanks, expressing that he had learned much.
Seeing his demeanor, the expressions of the pill refining experts in the hall softened. Their gazes towards Chu Yun conveyed warmth and affirmation.
“This young man is good. He shows no arrogance or impatience and is very steady. His skills are also extraordinary. Had it not been for those few questions, he could already be assessed for Alchemy Grandmaster. We originally intended to test him further, but seeing his performance, he is indeed a promising student.”
“Excellent, excellent.”
While appearing respectful on the surface, Chu Yun was inwardly amused. He had anticipated the intentions of these elders and deliberately made a few minor mistakes, turning their plan to his advantage.
Answering truthfully would have revealed his Alchemy Grandmaster level skills. At his age, achieving Alchemy Grandmaster status was too astonishing and would undoubtedly lead to unnecessary trouble. It was better to conceal his true abilities.
Yun Baishen let out a sigh of relief.
Knowing that Chu Yun had gained the initial acceptance of these elders, he couldn’t help but feel happy for Chu Yun.
Following this, Yun Baishen stepped forward and introduced the various masters to Chu Yun.
Chu Yun paid his respects to each of them and learned that the Alchemy Grandmaster who had questioned him was the highest-ranking official responsible for this pill refining mission, known as Marquis Yi Dan. His cultivation was at the Marquis level, and he had refined countless pills in his lifetime, numbering in the billions. He was a master among Grandmasters, renowned throughout Danzhou, known to all.
“You, take Wuming down first, arrange for accommodations, and take a look at the Second Spirit Light Pill. Then, come back to find us in the hall,” Marquis Yi Dan said, waving his hand, concluding the meeting.
