“You’ve become quite important for a ‘usurper of the flesh,’ haven’t you, ‘Pokkorise’?” → “…Pokkorise’.”
“What happened to the waist nipper I gave you when I got married? You’ve gotten even plumper than before… How lamentable…” → “…? You’ve gotten even…”
We left the Adventurer Guild, returned to our inn, and after staying one night, resumed our journey towards the Imperial Capital Ashurai.
Having departed from Harama Village, we are traveling at a slow speed along the Main Road. This is because the carriage was already full, with one person each on the observation deck built on the roof, and Garbador and Nestella following on foot.
This situation is, frankly, problematic. We need to arrange for a third carriage or remove those with weaker connections from the Second Expedition Trip.
The carriage then reached a three-way intersection. If we continue straight, we’ll reach the city of Karamiya. It’s a regional city, but it seems to be a large one with well-maintained main roads. However, we plan to turn right instead of going straight. Beyond that lies Mistira Village, which is also an alternate route to the Imperial Capital Ashurai. But it seems a steep mountain road awaits us once again. Perhaps it’s possible that groups like the Hyahhaa Hooligans are lurking there? I hope it’s just a杞憂, but I am very worried. I would prefer to go straight, but apparently, someone whom Ly and Elise absolutely do not want to meet is waiting in Karamiya.
As I was thinking this, the infamous three-way intersection approached. Along the side of the road stood a stone signpost, seemingly carved from a single large rock. Just then, something leaped out from behind the stone signpost.
I hurriedly pulled the reins, slowing down the carriage. Fortunately, our speed was barely a walk, so we didn’t hit it. The carriage behind us also managed to stop.
While this was happening, Garbador, who was keeping watch in front of the carriage, rushed towards the person who had appeared. Immediately after, Nestella, who was watching the rear, also ran alongside the carriage.
I stared intently at the person who had jumped out. It was a child. No, it was a young girl with a sense of déjà vu. She had slightly unruly silver hair, but from the coachman’s seat, the distance made it difficult to discern the detailed features of her face. The young girl who had jumped out seemed to have been protected by Garbador and Nestella.
After confirming the safety of the surroundings, I slowly started the carriage again and approached the young girl. I intended to caution her as a duty of elders. After all, it would have been a great tragedy if we had hit her…
“Missy! It’s dangerous to suddenly jump in front of a carriage!!”
“You are the ones I was looking for. Hurry up and bring out ‘Auntie Pokkorise’.”
“Who exactly are you?”
“You address me, a noblewoman, so disrespectfully by calling me ‘you’. However… since we are meeting for the first time, I will forgive you with a generous heart.”
Indeed, this young girl, being a noblewoman, seemed to have forgiven my rudeness in a haughty tone. Is there a family member nearby? And when the young girl asked for “Auntie Pokkorise,” I thought of Elise, who was in the carriage behind us.
However, could the person that the brazen Elise feared be a young girl? We were avoiding Former Viscount Marquis Bottox and Vicomtesse Yagutska, whom Ly and Elise absolutely did not want to meet, but we hadn’t heard anything about a young girl being involved.
And the young girl boldly blocked the carriage’s path. We couldn’t possibly run over such a young, innocent child. Garbador and Nestella, who had protected her, also had looks of bewilderment.
There was no choice, so I got off the carriage and faced the young girl. The party members of ‘Princess Harem’ also seemed curious about the arrival of this unusual guest and came down, observing from a distance. Elise, by the way, seemed to be hiding behind the other party members. Did she perhaps know something about that young girl? And I noticed that Elise and the young girl looked strikingly similar.
“Hal, this is peculiar, isn’t it?” Tirna, standing next to me, also looked bewildered.
“Hal, you mustn’t lose to the little girl!” Ain, who was positioned behind me, encouraged me.
However, I don’t think I would lose to a young girl… Still, if she started crying or yelling loudly, it would lead to a troublesome situation. Garbador and Nestella already looked resigned. Their attitudes suggested that dealing with a young girl was not part of their knightly duties.
“My name is Hal Harem Von Raymond. I am the Party Leader of the Adventurer Party ‘Princess Harem’. Could you tell me your name, little miss? And also tell me about the ‘Auntie Pokkorise’ you are looking for.”
“My name is Elena Rondo Roon Yagoutska. I am a Viscount’s Daughter, you know! I am of much nobler status than a mere adventurer!!”
“Viscount’s Daughter Yagutska, you say?”
“That’s right! Because I am important! Now, bring out ‘Auntie Pokkorise’ at once!”
“Um… could you tell me ‘Auntie Pokkorise’s’ full name?”
“Of course! ‘Auntie Pokkorise’s’ full name is Elise Lisha Umb Portland, an incompetent princess! She is also an extremely wicked person who destroyed my mother’s native land! She’s a former crown princess, and also a coward!!”
As I suspected, the young girl’s identity was apparently Elise’s blood relative. Moreover, she is the daughter of Vicomtesse Yagutska, whom Elise fears… This means… Vicomtesse Yagutska and Elise are sisters? Elise was indeed the crown prince, but she was the third princess of the Kingdom of Portland. This means… Elise has two older sisters. It seems that Vicomtesse Yagutska is either the former first princess or the former second princess of the Kingdom of Portland. And since Viscount Yagutska was a Waiyar noble, she must have come to this land after marrying him.
Elise’s reluctance to meet her older sister is understandable. But why would she want anything from Elise now? Furthermore, why did her young daughter come instead of her mother, Vicomtesse Yagutska!? I haven’t been told anything about the sisters’ feud by Elise.
“‘Auntie Pokkorise,’ you’re there, aren’t you? Come out from hiding. Or do you have something to hide? Your mother’s punishment awaits you!”
“Elena… it’s been a while. But I won’t allow you to call your aunt ‘Auntie Pokkorise’! You will call me Princess Elise!!”
As Elena kept repeating ‘Auntie Pokkorise,’ Elise appeared with an angry expression. At this point, Elise seemed ready to punish Elena under the guise of educational discipline.
“You’ve appeared! ‘Auntie Pokkorise.’ It’s time for you to pay the farm rent!”
In response, Elena arrogantly retorted, arching her back.
“If you insult me further, I will show no mercy, even to my niece.”
“You’ve become quite important for a ‘usurper of the flesh,’ haven’t you, ‘Pokkorise’?”
“Th-, that voice is…!”
“What happened to the waist nipper I gave you when I got married? You’ve gotten even plumper than before… How lamentable…”
“Gah! That voice is Elder Sister Freiza!!”
Another person emerged from behind the stone rock. She had straight silver hair and turquoise blue eyes. And she was a magnificent beauty with a glamorous figure and large breasts.
“How dare you live so brazenly after destroying the Kingdom of Portland.”
“Th-, that…”
Elise, glared at by the beauty who had appeared, turned pale as a frog staring at a snake – and began to sweat profusely. Precious (perhaps?) Elise oil spilled onto the ground, but even Freya and Shera seemed unable to move.
“Elise, who is this beautiful woman?”
“You must be Lord Raymond, the one my foolish sister has been relying on. I am Freiza Roroa Von Yagoutska, the former first princess of the Kingdom of Portland. My name before marriage was Freiza Roroa Umb Portland, and I was the crown princess before this ‘usurper of the flesh’ was born.”
*Punipuni, bunyubunyu*
“Ow, it hurts! Elder Sister Freiza! Stop pinching my stomach!”
“Shall I freeze and shave off this unsightly flesh?”
“N-, no, don’t do that!!”
Freiza approached Elise casually and pinched her excess flesh, checking how plump she had become. It seemed she was pinching without holding back, and Elise’s screams echoed. Elise, who behaves as if entitlement is her clothing, was undeniably Freiza’s natural enemy.
“Eek! Stop… stop…! Don’t… rub my butt!”
While all our gazes were focused on Elise and Freiza, Ly suddenly screamed. And she was saying, “Don’t rub my butt.”
I glanced towards Ly and saw an old man rubbing her behind. The old man had white hair and a magnificent white beard on his chin. His clothing was respectable, and he appeared to be a vigorous old noble, but he wore a hooded robe pulled deeply over his head and a mask modeled after a Valkyrie, and he was rubbing Ly’s behind with practiced skill. Liliana and Tirna, who were nearby, had their right hands on their foreheads, looking resigned. Usually, the loyal Tirna would have stepped forward to protect Ly. Perhaps Liliana and Tirna also knew about the old man rubbing Ly’s behind?
“Wh-, what noble buttocks! Even through her clothing, it is evident that these are the esteemed buttocks of a princess of Waiyar. Why do you avoid me? Princess Ly!”
“Asunas Robert von Botox! Stop touching my butt!!”
Ly’s scream revealed that the one rubbing her behind was none other than Former Viscount Marquis Bottox, whom she had been trying to avoid. This meant that we were ambushed by Vicomtesse Yagutska, whom Elise was trying to avoid, and Former Viscount Marquis Bottox, whom Ly was trying to avoid. Perhaps the news of our destination reached them faster, giving them time to set up an ambush. Come to think of it, the alternate route to the Imperial Capital Ashurai by carriage might have been predictable. Moreover, they meticulously used Elise’s niece, Elena, to detain us, so we wouldn’t flee by speeding up the carriage. We had completely fallen into their trap.
After finally crossing Satela Pass… we were captured by Former Viscount Marquis Bottox and Vicomtesse Yagutska and taken to the city of Karamiya. Elise, Ly, Liliana, and Tirna all turned deathly pale. Eliza also looked the same. It is possible that Eliza also had some acquaintance with Former Viscount Marquis Bottox.
