“You—I made a mistake, I’m sorry. Thank you for coming to my rescue.”
“Fufufu, no problem. However, if you’re going to thank me—please take this.”
Jidock took something out of his pocket and handed it to Olivier, who looked at it with a puzzled expression and asked.
“What is this riding whip?”
“Please, use this to whip my ass as a reward—Hauu, thank you!”
“…I feel soiled even though I was saved. I’d rather not think about it, so let’s move on, Jidock.”
“Yes, yes, you’re right.”
Olivier decided to proceed with the conversation, trying her best not to let the sight of the slightly overweight young man with a flushed face and hot breaths enter her vision.
“I appreciate you coming to my rescue, but do you have a plan?”
At her question, Jidock’s expression turned serious.
“I’ve placed soldiers on standby in a nearby location. They’re ordered to act immediately if anything happens. My only concern is that there are quite a few Magicians here, so I don’t know how much help the soldiers I brought will be… The only remaining option is for me to become Olivier-tan’s meat shield and escort you safely outside.”
“I don’t want to put you through that, especially with a child involved. Your intentions are enough.”
“My resolve is wasted, eh? *pant pant*.”
“…You know, can’t you be serious for just a little longer? Well, fine. Actually, there is one way to escape, but to do that, we need to find the girl who is being held captive somewhere.”
The Dragon Girl, Rio, is also being held captive, just like Olivier. The problem is, where is she?
“Hmm. Are you referring to a cute Dragon Girl?”
“You know her?”
“Yes. Before coming to this Room, I caught a glimpse of her, though it was brief. She was heavily sealed. I remember her well because Dragon Girls are rare.”
“She’s in this Mansion, then? That’s a relief.”
Olivier felt a genuine sense of relief for her family’s safety. She had never thought that Rio, a being of a race that surpassed Humans, would be harmed, even if she was just a child. Apparently, she had overwhelmed Jared with her bare hands, meaning she possessed at least the power of a Court Mage, if not more.
However, she had heard that Rio was easily incapacitated during the attack on the Mansion. It made her realize that even a Dragon could be dealt with if proper countermeasures were taken.
“Where is Jared? Do you know where he is?”
Jidock shook his head as if regretting it.
“Unfortunately, it seems that the young Court Mage is in a different location from this Mansion.”
“…I see. Then let’s escape as soon as possible.”
Since Jared wasn’t imprisoned in the same place, Olivier had no reason to stay here. She had to escape quickly and then rescue her Fiancé.
“You’ve changed, Olivier-tan. Even when you acted brave before, you seemed to be forcing yourself. Now, you’ve truly become strong.”
“Thank you. It’s probably thanks to Jared.”
“Fufufu. Then let’s escape quickly and save your Fiancé too.”
The two nodded in agreement. Olivier never expected that Jidock, who had once appeared before her as a potential Fiancé candidate and insulted her countless times, would come to her rescue like this. She was completely surprised that she would be thanked by him.
Olivier was truly grateful to Jidock. Grateful that he didn’t resent her for the heartless insults she had hurled at him in the past, even though she was putting on a brave front.
“When we get out of here, I’ll properly thank you.”
“Fufufu. I’ve already received my thanks. B-but, if you insist, I would be happy if you would make good use of the whip I gave you—Hauu, thank you!”
“If it weren’t for that, I could respect you more.”
Olivier sighed at the pervert who was in ecstasy from being whipped on his ass.
“*pant pant*… Speaking of which, you mentioned a way to escape, but what kind of method is that?”
“That is—”
Olivier smiled with an unprecedented, audacious smile.
“I’m going to use the power of the Dragon.”
