I just finished the flow of the second chapter of the hidden route “Starlight Line” in ‘Xingyin 2’.
Regarding the second chapter, which has been criticized for being “misleading a lot”.
I think one key point to note is: do not stray from Tsukimi Kanade.
In this chapter, if you leave Tsukimi Kanade for too long, you will inevitably meet a Bad End (BE).
So, in the early to mid stages, try to align your actions and options with Tsukimi Kanade as much as possible.

In reality, this is a “personal route”.
The player-controlled character, Seigaku Nagi, has a fixed character to pursue from the beginning.
Trying to pursue characters other than Tsukimi Kanade will lead to a BE.

I only started playing the main ‘Xingyin’ series recently after a friend’s recommendation.
Following online guides, I finally got through ‘Xingyin’ and ‘Xingyin 2’.
But after entering the hidden route.
Due to lack of strategy, I got stuck for almost three hours in the first chapter.
In the second chapter, after entering the first event, I started facing infinite BEs.
It turns out it’s not me who’s strong, but the strategies of all the pros.

Let’s share some key points to note in the second chapter.

Here are some points in the second chapter where it’s easy to fail:
1. Before the Starlight status goes out of control, every evening’s action point must be used to “clean up the fantasy monsters in Kawano City”.
Yes, you heard that right, as a galgame hidden route, at the beginning of the second chapter, you have to repeatedly engage in dull battles every night until the story reaches the “Starlight status out of control”.
2. In the aquarium date event, you cannot choose the option to accept Tsukimi Kanade’s love.
Yes, you’re not mistaken, although this is Tsukimi Kanade’s personal line in the galgame, you cannot pick any options that communicate feelings with the target “Tsukimi Kanade” during the storyline, otherwise, you will end up with a BE.
3. After amnesia, you must participate in the school trip and cannot stay in Kawano City.
This is quite understandable; the Starlight status needs to be consumed together with Kanade.
If you don’t participate in the school trip, Seigaku Nagi will be taken over by the End of All Things.
And the Seigaku family, who stay by Seigaku Nagi’s side, will be killed by her, perfectly replicating Seigaku Nagi’s experiences in other routes.
(PS: If you miss the choice to participate in the school trip, it’s advisable to load your save immediately; don’t watch this BE; it’s too brutal.)
(PS2: To clarify, complete collection in the ‘Xingyin’ series does not include BEs; this is already the last mercy of the production team, don’t waste it.)
4. On the luxury cruise ship, you cannot choose to forcefully take down Tsukimi Kanade.
Yes, it’s that cruel, even though it’s a galgame, you cannot pick options that would unlock sexy CGs according to your instincts.
If the two of them cross this line here.
Later, Tsukimi Kanade will not be able to save Seigaku Nagi.
But since the CG is quite steamy, you can quickly ctrl past it and then go back to enjoy the CG.
5. After discovering that the Seiren Association plans to hold the Star Ceremony on Nanase Island, you must choose to rush back to Kawano City and cannot wait for the Sea God Festival.
Although by this time the player also knows that Nanase Island will also become a sacrificial altar for the ceremony, you must rush back to Kawano City; otherwise, Seigaku Nagi will meet a BE for exposing her identity too early to Hinata Mana.
You can only say, truly worthy of being the “real protagonist”, even in this hidden route, she is that difficult.
The reason you cannot wait for the Sea God Festival is simple; time will run out, so the erosion at this point is equivalent to the official consumption of the players, which is a plot consumption that cannot be avoided.
Otherwise, you can only meet the BE where Seigaku Nagi’s family has already been killed by Amano Tsubasa, and in the end, Seigaku Nagi must personally kill her only remaining family in this world; one can only say truly worthy of being a trash game.
These are the points most likely to lead to a BE in the second chapter.

Who did you contract with now? What powers have you obtained?
It’s important to note that you can’t use Tsukimi Kanade as a wheelchair at the scene to fight Kanade; you need to rely on the hard powers accumulated earlier.
Also, don’t contract with Alice and Hinata Mana; these two are more useful as psychics in battle.
Amami Chiika as a contract beast is not bad, just that the “equality of all beings” CD is too long.
In terms of powers, you can’t use Twilight and Storm, or you’ll be countered.
If you can get Seigaku Renji’s soul fragments earlier, you can try simulating the “Scale of Justice” power.
