Chapter: 19. The Dress Named White Moonlight
White Moonlight.
It refers to a presence that leaves a deep impression in the heart, pure and beautiful, and irreplaceable.
It could be a first love, someone once deeply adored but missed, or a person who, no matter who one meets afterward, remains unforgettable and unique— it could also be the name of a dress.
“How about it, Miss Tianyin? I think it suits you perfectly!” The excited Erika looked at the formal dress that Nagino was holding with shining eyes.
The dress’s exterior matched its name, “White Moonlight,” primarily featuring a pure and flawless white hue, like the softest moonlight in the night sky, gentle yet dazzling.
“Hehehe, this is my latest masterpiece~”
Standing directly across from Nagino was a second-year senior from the “Fashion and Costume Design” club at Seiza Academy, also one of the close friends Erika made at school during this time. One could say it was truly impressive how quickly she made friends—Nagino was somewhat surprised that Erika could become such a close friend in just a week.
Even in this academy primarily focused on nurturing people with extraordinary abilities, there are still many clubs that cater to students’ hobbies and interests, and these students with boundless imaginations often come up with things that are truly eye-catching.
For example, this dress named “White Moonlight” is the latest version of the senior’s representative work, designed painstakingly over the course of more than a year.
After Nagino sought help from Erika, she was taken to the “Fashion and Costume Design” club at Seiza Academy, a club with a long-standing tradition that has produced countless renowned outfits since its establishment, earning it a more fitting nickname among students—The Armory.
The current school uniform of Seiza Academy came from this “Armory,” which is filled with individuals with violent and destructive tendencies, and this White Moonlight is no exception—
“This dress is woven from lightweight bulletproof fibers, effectively defending against close-range handgun fire…”
“…The inner layer of the strapless design incorporates a high-frequency communication module, allowing information transmission through Morse code via skin resonance…”
“…The thin lace sleeves have hidden mini sensors that can detect the surroundings within three meters… The seams in the waist are embedded with ultra-fine steel wires, which can be quickly pulled out for emergency binding or escape… The train has a detachable design, and when torn open, it can transform into an umbrella-shaped glider… Tests confirm it can safely parachute from up to five stories…”
The second-year senior proudly introduced the features of the “White Moonlight.”
Standing beside her, Nagino had a look of black lines on her face.
In fact, Nagino had also heard of the “Armory’s” reputation.
So when she was brought here by Erika, she initially had the illusion that she wasn’t going to a freshman dinner but rather to rob it. It wasn’t until she heard the senior’s introduction that she became certain—this was no illusion.
Nagino weakly raised her hand: “I feel like something’s off…”
Upon hearing this, the senior lightly shook her finger: “Such a naive junior~ Haven’t you heard— a beautiful dress is a powerful weapon for women facing men in social situations?”
“Isn’t your understanding of this saying too superficial!?”
Staring at the white formal dress equipped with features like bulletproofing, communication, high-voltage electric shock, train explosion ammunition, laser ribbon, and gliding escape, Nagino couldn’t help but voice her complaints.
“Not at all~~~”
“That’s not a compliment!”
However, if one were to ignore these chaotic features, Nagino had to admit that the dress in her hands was incredibly beautiful, from both a female and male perspective—
The upper body featured a strapless design with clean and sharp lines that fit the body’s curves, maximizing the showcase of the bust and shoulder-neck silhouette. From the sides of the strapless neckline flowed a pair of thin lace sleeves that naturally draped around the outer arms, neither covering the shoulders nor affecting the simplicity of the strapless design itself.
The waist was distinctly tapered, sculpted through clever cutting and concealed waistband structure, adorned with fine silver thread embroidery that revealed a starry pattern under the light. The train was designed with a juxtaposition of short front and long back, with the front reaching above the knee, while the back cascaded in layers, easily conjuring an image of the sheer fabric gently swaying with movement, trailing soft curves.
The overall design maintained a minimalist style while creating a light, almost transparent quality through material layering and delicate details.
“…By the way, is the neckline really that low?” Nagino nervously held up the white dress in front of herself for comparison. The pure, flawless fabric was stretched high by her prominent bust, immediately making her realize that the dress’s neckline was indeed low.
“Mm? But I think Miss Tianyin’s figure can totally pull it off~,” Erika encouraged beside her, “With such a fantastic figure, I think you should boldly show it off!”
Open-minded Erika seemed to be quite pleased with this dress that would reveal the northern hemisphere when worn.
“There’s no need to worry about wardrobe malfunctions at all! We have a complete and reliable privacy protection system in place.” The senior also chimed in reassuringly, “If the dress is forcibly removed illegally, the internal self-destruct chip will immediately activate the self-destruction mechanism, turning the entire dress to ash!”
“What kind of privacy are you protecting!? Are you sure this dress is called ‘White Moonlight’ and not ‘White Death Beam’?!”
[Owner, admit it, are you excited about the idea of this design that would expose you in public?]
“(Absolutely not——!!!)”
[So merely wearing it without revealing anything is enough to excite you? Have you started to fantasize about everyone at the dinner looking at your chest with greedy, sticky gazes?]
“(……)”
[Owner, are you not going to refute that?]
“(……I just can’t be bothered to listen to your nonsense!)”
“Well, well~ It’s useless to say so much, let’s just try it on! It’s a rare opportunity to have a subject with such a unique figure—ah, I misspoke! I meant a rare opportunity to have such a sexy and cute junior.” The senior clapped her hands and laughed.
“Isn’t the gap in that slip of the tongue a bit too large?!”
“Making the junior satisfied is our reason for living.”
“Just now, you didn’t say such pretty words at all, did you?!”
“After all, figures like yours are truly rare~” The senior said while taking out a measuring tape: “Though not the largest I’ve seen, those with such impressive measurements usually don’t have a waist as slim as yours—Hey? Isn’t that size difference a bit excessive? How on earth do you maintain such a slim waist?”
“And how do you achieve such a figure? Just standing there shortens the skirt and displays an S-shaped line with a perky rear—how seductive is that? Mind if I feel the firmness with my hands? Ouch! Looks like that’s not possible.”
“And these long legs that are juicy but not fat—are you interested in becoming a model for our club? I’m confident that with legs as great as yours, we could turn every boy in the school into leg and foot enthusiasts in less than a week—Erika-chan? Don’t pull me away! My dreams! My dreams are right in front of me!”
The overly excited senior was pulled away from Nagino by Erika.
“Okay, okay, let’s all calm down a bit. Miss Tianyin will be very troubled by this!”
[Actually, I bet you’ve started fantasizing about “photos of you wearing various stockings making all the boys in school go wild” and getting excited, right? All while pretending to be innocent and natural, with your legs wrapped in sheer stockings, asking everyone why they’re bending down—]
“(——In your eyes, what kind of image do I project!?)”
[I’ve recently been reading about elements of “contrast,” trying to dissect and understand the thinking of perverted girls like you—]
“(Are you also learning common sense through reading doujinshi!? Seriously, your methods are completely wrong!!!)”
As Nagino finished her low-voiced complaint to the entity on the other end of her earpiece, Erika just managed to help the senior calm down.
“How about it? Do you want to try it on? If the size isn’t right, we can adjust it on-site! I guarantee you’ll be able to wear it to the dinner tonight.”
“…Um, sorry for the trouble, senior.” After struggling for a moment, Nagino still nodded.
Because, for now, she had no other ideas. Although the senior in front of her had unreliable thoughts in some aspects, she had to admit that they were exceptionally good at aesthetics in clothing design.
“By the way.” As Nagino picked up the formal dress and walked towards the fitting room with Erika, she seemed to recall something and turned back to ask:
“Is there a black version of this dress?”
