Following the feathers dropped by stolen companions, Piyo and Arisugawa search for the bandit group’s hideout.
“The feathers end here.”
Piyo and I, who had been following the feathers dropped by the kidnapped harpies, stopped in front of a suspicious cave.
“Hey, are you really going? Shouldn’t we go back and call for reinforcements? Like Brother…”
“While we’re doing that, they might be suffering terrible things?!”
With that, Piyo strode into the cave. I let out a small sigh and followed behind.
The inside of the cave was dim and damp, despite it being daytime. Shivers ran down my spine thinking about when they might pounce from the shadows. We turned the corner at the dead end, and I could hear human voices from ahead. It had to be the bandit group that attacked the village.
“So? Do you have a plan?”
I whispered the question to Piyo. But again, she ignored me and ran further into the cave. Then,
“Heyyyy thieves! Give back Piyo’s companions!!”
She boldly stepped out in front of the bandits and shouted. I certainly hadn’t expected this. Just as Piyo’s older sister said, I should have just forcefully taken them back, but it was too late for regrets.
“What’s this? Another one came to get caught deliberately~”
The bandits’ laughter could be heard. This is bad. If I’m the Brave summoned to this world, some kind of ability should activate…! Well, that’s not happening, so I should hurry and get Piyo out of here. This time, I leaped out in front of the bandits to take her back by force.
