The Satyr Casanova, Talvel, was punched by Karubene.
Thanks to Veronica, we were able to spend the night in a place with a roof over our heads. The lodging was a little far from town and didn’t seem very safe, but it was better than sleeping outdoors.
The next day, leaving everyone else behind, Sharin, Philiana, and I went into town. And for some reason, Karubene followed us again.
“Hey, you can come with us, but don’t just disappear on us.”
“If I’m going to disappear, I’ll go somewhere on my own. The reason I’m with you is… because of him.”
In Karubene’s line of sight was Talvel, talking to a girl near a flower bed.
“I can’t believe it, he’s charming women even here.”
“Oh, Mr. Karubene, do you know him?”
“Just ignore him if he tries to talk to you.”
As Karubene advised, we tried to go around him without being noticed, but we were found out normally.
“Karubene! Hey, you’re here, are these two your friends?”
He said a word to the girl he was talking to and approached us with a smile. His nose was bandaged with gauze.
“Yes, hello. He doesn’t seem like a bad person.”
“To think you had such wonderful friends. Hello, is Valkyria taking a detour here?”
He took Philiana’s hand and gave it a small kiss.
“Heh heh, I take back what I said…”
Philiana pulled her hand away and gave an awkward, wry smile. Sharin, who had been watching the scene, backed away.
“By the way, what are you guys doing? Shopping?”
“Well, something like that.”
I answered for the three of them, who looked displeased.
“I see. Then you should buy a lot. There aren’t many towns beyond this point. How long have you been here? And what kind of group are you?”
“Um, well, we’re just a little bit of travel companions. We plan to leave in two or three days.”
He hummed noncommittally.
“Are there any other members besides you?”
At that moment, Karubene intervened.
“It’s none of your business, so get lost.”
Philiana and Sharin quickly followed Karubene and went somewhere.
“Sigh, it’s really not going well. Beautiful roses have thorns, as they say. You’re getting supplies for your journey, right? Let’s go shopping, just the two of us men.”
After that, I was dragged around the large town while listening to his pick-up techniques and his boasts. The only good thing was that because I had a handsome man with me, we received a lot of extras.
