Boa Orcs Counter-Attack by a Furious Elana
Ignoring Elana’s pleas, Elana drew her sword and pressed it against her neck.
“Can’t you hear me telling you to stop?”
At the second warning, she finally stopped and looked up.
“Why are you stopping me? It doesn’t concern you whether this guy dies or not.”
“Yes, that’s true. But a great warrior doesn’t kill their opponent so easily.”
Elana scoffed.
“If you do that, the enemies you let escape will come back for your head someday. It will be too late to regret it then.”
“We can drive them away no matter how many times they come. Besides, showing mercy to your opponent is also necessary in battle. What you’re doing is no different from what these barbarians do.”
At those words, Elana’s relaxed expression turned grim.
“Huh? Don’t lump me in with them. If you call me a barbarian again, don’t forget you’ll end up like this.”
She sheathed her sword, kicked the Boa Orc’s head with her foot, and left. The freed man staggered away, clutching his stomach.
“Rage is the flip side of fear. What is she afraid of?”
“More importantly, we need to figure out what to do about this fire now.”
As Nina said, the flames Elana had started were now spreading all around. If this continued, the entire deep forest would be burnt down. For the time being, they had no choice but to try and extinguish it with the water they had.
Suddenly, water flew from somewhere. One by one, the fires were extinguished by a shower of water. Looking in the direction where the water came from, they saw a female Boa Orc releasing water. However, her aura was different from the ones they had encountered earlier. She was a bit older, with a calm and intelligent demeanor.
After finishing extinguishing the flames, the woman wiped the sweat from her brow.
“Phew, is that all? I saw there was a fire and came over, but it’s turned into something terrible.”
This was bad. She might attack them knowing her companions had been killed. Looking at the two corpses lying on the ground, the woman sighed.
“Oh dear, I knew this would happen someday. Are you two injured?”
Instead of seeking revenge, she seemed to have known this would happen.
“Um, we were attacked. We did let two of them go, though.”
“I’m sorry for the trouble. These guys were causing trouble around here. They were ostracized even in our village. Thanks to them, everyone thinks poorly of us. I warned them many times, but they wouldn’t listen. There was a young child, wasn’t there? Did that one escape?”
She was probably referring to the one Elana almost killed earlier.
“Yes, but he was injured in the stomach.”
“That’s fine then. That idiot probably realized he needed to live a proper life. I’m truly sorry, but could you help me carry these corpses?”
We ended up dragging our heavy bodies together.
