The water continued to rise, eventually reaching waist-level. If this continued, Piyo and Pauline would drown. Cecilia was also short. Though, she would probably swim on her own without worry.
“Ah! Something touched me again!”
Lauren cried out from behind once more, and Nina turned back with a look of annoyance.
“Honestly, of course something would be in here.”
“N-no, it’s not like that. W-well then, why don’t you come here and see for yourself?”
Told so, Nina reluctantly headed towards Lauren. Just then, Lauren stumbled on something and grabbed onto Nina’s clothes.
“W-wait a minute!!”
Splashes of muddy water rose from behind, from two people. Everyone walking ahead, including myself, turned back.
“Hmph, honestly! What are you doing! I’m soaked head to toe!”
“I-I’m sorry.”
Due to the heat, Nina was wearing light clothing. Being drenched in muddy water, her clothes clung to her skin, revealing her skin color through her thin underwear. Lauren, as usual, was fine thanks to her oversized robe.
“Nina-san, Lauren-san, are you alright? Here, please wear this.”
Saying so, Philiana handed her own outerwear to Nina.
“Thank you, b-but you’re see-through, change back!”
Nina, flustered with a reddened face, looked at Philiana with a puzzled expression. Philiana, now only wearing a chest wrap, was starting to show her skin color as it had loosened with sweat.
“But Nina-san, you are too.”
“Eh? Ahh, wait, hey! Ero-Aki, what are you looking at!”
As if suddenly noticing my gaze, a whip-like tail attacked from the mud. But the same trick wouldn’t work as before! Deciding not to take any more damage, I instinctively dodged to the side.
However, because I dodged without looking sideways, I didn’t notice Sharin and ended up pushing her into the mud.
“Ah, sorry! Truly, I’m sorry!”
Sharin stared at me with a disgusted look, saying nothing. As I stood up, I received a blow from Nina to my back and sank alone into the mud once more.
