Arisugawa chose to be captured to enter the town, even though she was spotted by the guards.
“Kuuu, what’s with that woman! So annoying! Just because they’re wild races, is the difference only whether their lower half is a horse or a snake? What, is she saying she’s a proud member of the Centaur tribe?”
After the female soldier left, Nina was beating her tail in the narrow cell, angry.
“She’s from the Centaur tribe. As you can see, she has the body of a human and the legs of a horse. She’s probably hired by the lord here.”
While Nina was still angry, Sharin calmly explained.
“I won’t let that busty woman off! Speaking of which, Sharin, um, I’m sorry about hitting you so hard with my tail.”
Sharin looked at Nina’s apology with a bewildered expression.
“That’s why, remember when we first met, I attacked you because I didn’t know? Are you still injured?”
Nina apologized, looking a little embarrassed.
“Ah, ah, I dodged at the last moment. It hurt, but I’m fine now.”
“Oh, I’m glad. You’re quite capable, aren’t you?”
“Hehe, anyone can do something like this.”
Praise made Sharin look embarrassed this time. It seemed the two had become friends. I was grateful for that too.
Piyo was bored in the empty, cold prison.
“Hiro, I’m bored, Piyo!”
Impatient, Piyo clung to my back. She was like a child whining because they had to accompany their parent on an errand.
“Speaking of which, why did Piyo bump into me? Did you fail at flying?”
I recalled the first time I met Piyo.
“Ah, I was flying in the sky and it felt so good I fell asleep.”
“Eh… that happens?”
It seemed she had fallen asleep while riding the wind.
After entertaining Piyo for a while, we heard the sound of a nearby door opening, and the Centaur from before appeared again.
“The lord wishes to speak with you. You two, human and cat demi-human, come with me.”
