The three of them were blocked by a female demon.
“What kind of demon is this?”
I looked at Sharin.
“I’ve never seen it before either, but it’s probably a succubus.”
I knew about those. They appear by a man’s bedside at night and suck out his essence in dreams. I vaguely remembered a rumor that if you leave milk instead, they won’t attack you.
“Excuse me, could you move? You don’t want to get hurt, do you?”
While I was distracted by the demon in front of me, the old man from before seemed to have woken up.
“Hehehe, I did it! Finally, a hit! Now, get rid of them!”
The succubus cast a cold gaze at the old man and sighed.
“Haa, what’s with this old geezer? Hmph, it’s you first, then.”
As the woman raised her hand, something like energy shot out from it. After feeling an impact that made my head reel, my legs lost their strength, and I couldn’t stand.
It was the same sensation I felt before. The other two next to me had vacant eyes, just like me.
We have to do something. If we stop here, it’s… the end for us.
Suddenly, fighting off sleep, I raised my face and saw someone approaching a distant altar. Were those orange wings, Piyo’s?
The old man, who had been focused on us, noticed the disturbance at the altar and shouted to stop her.
“W-what are you doing! Someone stop that brat!”
Piyo reached out to the crystal ball on the altar, then raised it high. Then, despite the old man’s efforts, she slammed it forcefully onto the ground.
