Diepser, with a vein throbbing on his forehead, threw off the hood he had been wearing. His beautiful blue long hair reflected the faint moonlight.
“First, I’ll deal with you, you simpleton.”
Several chains shot out from the dark sea. They were heading towards me with tremendous speed.
“I won’t let you! Run, Arisugawa-kun!”
As I was told, I turned my back and started running. However, my feet got caught in the soft sand, and I couldn’t move easily. Mismol leaped up and struck the chains like a great sword with the keyboard he was holding. I thought it was just how it was designed, but looking closely, the lower part was a blade. A dull clang of metal striking metal echoed.
“Are you an idiot? Disappear, you emo lizard!”
Unfortunately, the chains didn’t break, and Mismol was flung away. The two of us were too incompatible. Or rather, there was a chance; if I could get close once, I could use the dagger I received earlier. He had mentioned it was an electrified dagger. It should be effective against Diepser, who was in the water.
“Mismol, can you draw his attention?”

He started playing his music loudly again. I escaped the sound waves and circled around from the side. Diepser, irritated, shot a stream of water towards him. Mismol couldn’t dodge it completely and was swept across the beach. He was slow because he had a large weapon.

The sea current twisted like a snake and attacked me. I couldn’t obey my body to dodge. The moment I dodged to the side, as if he had predicted my movement, a torrent of water plunged into my face. But before I was struck by the impact, Mismol stood in front of me and blocked the attack with the back of his keyboard. The barrier shattered, and seawater splashed.
Seeing this, Diepser clicked his tongue and sent his chains flying. This was convenient. I deliberately let myself be caught by a chain and approached him. But before I could get completely close, an arm like a demon’s appeared and grasped my throat.
“I can see all your moves. That’s an attribute sword, isn’t it? Do you really think you can defeat me with such a toy? You’re so deluded.”
So he had seen through it. I took a chance and threw my sword into the sea. Seeing that, Diepser moved away from his spot and hid himself underwater. The chain holding me was pulled along, and I was dragged underwater. I was freed from the chain, but I couldn’t breathe here, like an ant in a bucket of water. In the darkness where even the moonlight couldn’t reach, Diepser’s blue hair and eerie eyes glowed purple.
Here, I was defenseless and would be easily killed. Knowing this, the witch of the deep sea slowly swam towards me. Her long hair coiled around my face like a snake.
“Now, let me hear your last words. Human, your stuffed body will sell for a high price in the museum. These guys have never seen a human before. A flawed loser, that perfectly describes you.”
I squeezed out the last bit of air from my lungs and replied.
“Good night.”
“What did you say? Ugh…! Damn it, you poisoned me…! I’ll remember this…!”
He quietly closed his eyes and sank to the seabed.
