He headed towards the rescue of his Hanenashi companions who were being attacked by Killerbees.
First, Nina and Philiana took the lead and attacked.
“Let’s finish them while they’re surprised by the ambush.” Just as I thought that, another Killerbee appeared from the sky, making a bothersome buzzing sound.
“Hey, I wasn’t told there was another one!”
I wonder if they can call for companions like Honeybees.
The Hanenashi companions were bewildered by the increased number of enemies and the sudden appearance of strangers from the bushes.
“There’s no other way. Nina, Sharin, and Philiana, you deal with the ones here. Piyo and I will handle the newcomer.”
The three nodded at my words.
“Be careful of the tip of their tails! They have a powerful poison!”
I heard the shouts of the Hanenashi from afar. Indeed, the Killerbees were extending long needles from the tips of their tails, assuming a posture like scorpions to stab at the three of them.
Although I had given instructions for the time being, I honestly had no chance of winning. It was all about buying time.
Suddenly, my eyes fell on the ground, and I saw a broken spear, previously used by a Honeybee, lying there.
“Piyo, can you stab that into its wings?”
“I’ll try!”
I handed the broken spear to Piyo. While we were doing that, the Killerbee that had been observing from the sky descended towards us.
It tried to lunge at me with its sharp claws. T-timing and counter-attacking with a sword at a moment like this…
No way, that’s too dangerous to even consider! I turned my back and ran to avoid being caught.
Just then, I heard a Killerbee’s cry from behind me. When I turned to look, the broken spear I had handed over earlier was impaled in its thin wings.
The Killerbee, losing its balance, was immediately pounced on by its Honeybee companions. It was then surrounded by several of them and pushed to the ground. It seemed even its huge body couldn’t defeat sheer numbers after all.
“Piyo, thank you, you saved me.”
“Hehe, I did it!”
The other Killerbee was also struggling against the three opponents. Eventually, realizing it was outmatched and injured, it broke free from the three and flew into the sky. The one with the pierced wings also saw this and retreated into the forest.
