Lauren announced she wanted to go on a journey.
“So, that’s why I want to go on a journey. It’s fine, isn’t it?”
Her parents seemed perplexed by their daughter’s request.
“Lauren, these people are adventurers. They make a living from it. They’re professionals, so to speak.”
“That’s right. Besides, you’re always cooped up at home and have never really been outside. Nature is harsh.”
Despite her parents’ attempts to dissuade her, she insisted on going.
“Can you say something too?”
Lauren’s father turned to me with a troubled look.
“Right, tell me, why do you want to go with us?”
“W-well, isn’t it obvious! Aren’t you going to meet powerful magicians? T-to find Black Magic.”
“That’s just me…”
She didn’t seem to care about that.
“What, are you going to complain if I stay home, and complain if I go out?”
Lauren’s father let out a big sigh, as if he was at his wit’s end.
“If that’s the case, then do as you please.”
“Huh? Wait, you’re letting her go so easily?”
After her parents left, Lauren said happily.
“Hmph, this way I can finally be rid of those nagging parents. Just you wait, I’ll become the strongest Necromancer.”
She left to prepare for her journey.
“Sigh, I can’t help it.”
“Exactly. Well, at that rate, she’ll give up soon.”
I nodded at Sharin’s words and returned to the hut where Philiana was waiting.
“Oh, welcome back.”
“How are you feeling, Philiana?”
“I’m much better. Nina was here with me.”
When I looked at Nina, she turned away stubbornly. It seemed they had made up.
“Nina, aren’t you going to go shopping?”
“I-I’m going, even if you don’t tell me to!”
I asked Sharin to guide Nina. Philiana stood up, wanting to go along.
“Are you really okay?”
“Yes, it’s still a little swollen, but I’ve become curious to see the Arachne village too.”
Piyo also left, supporting Philiana. In the meantime, I decided to rest a little. I’ll sharpen my weapon during this time.
…I’ll ask Sharin how to do it later.
